Andy Murray takes on David Ferrer while Novak Djokovic faces Stan Wawrinka in Paris
Saturday 7 November 2015 15:26, UK
Andy Murray will be targeting a spot in his first career Paris Masters final when he takes on David Ferrer in Saturday's first semi-final - live on Sky Sports 4 HD from 1pm.
The Olympic and two-time Grand Slam champion was taken to three sets against Richard Gasquet on Friday in his first real test in the French capital.
Murray, who is aiming to win his third Masters 1000 event of the year, will expect a tough challenge against 2012 Paris champion Ferrer after he proved too strong for John Isner.
The Scot has a 10-6 career record against the hard-working Spaniard and has also won the last three encounters.
With the ATP World Tour Finals and Davis Cup final against Belgium to come, Murray will be hoping to end the season on a real high.
World No 1 Novak Djokovic is aiming to become the first player to win six ATP Masters titles in a season and the slick Serb faces a rematch of the French Open final against Stan Wawrinka in the second semi-final.
Djokovic remained on course for a third straight Paris Masters title after a hard-fought 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (10-8) quarter-final victory over Czech fifth seed Tomas Berdych.
Wawrinka overcame Rafael Nadal 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (9-7) in a full-blooded late night contest.
The 10-time major winner leads the Swiss 18-4 in head-to-head meetings, but it was Wawrinka who spoiled Djokovic's dream of winning his maiden Roland Garros title after a memorable four-set win in the final.
Watch the semi-finals of the Paris Masters at 1pm and 4pm on Sky Sports 4 HD this Saturday.
