British teenager Gabriella Taylor moved into the second round of Wimbledon qualifying with a 6-1 6-3 win over former world No 29 Sofia Arvidsson.

The 16-year-old from Southampton, who trains in Marbella, Spain, made quick work of her Swedish opponent and completed the win in under an hour.

"I am feeling shaky now because I'm so happy, but when I stepped on court I had no nerves whatsoever. I quite like the grass,” she told Wimbledon’s official website.

"I think I've gained all my confidence now and I'm just going to go out tomorrow and play my tennis."
