Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer win at Wimbledon to move into third round

Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer cruised through the second round at Wimbledon on Thursday.
Djokovic beat Adam Pavlasek 6-2 6-2 6-1 before Federer followed him into the third round with a 7-6 6-3 6-2 win over Dusan Lajovic.
Each player won first-round matches due to their respective opponents retiring injured, and Djokovic and Federer also made light work of their latest opposition.
Djokovic needed just an hour and a half on Court No 1 against the world No 136 Pavlasek, and he will next play Ernests Gulbis who beat Juan Martin Del Potro 6-4 6-4 7-6.
Federer then overcame a rocky opening set, in which he was broken in his first service game, against world No 79 Lajovic to book a third-round tie against Mischa Zverev.
The third round last year, for No 2 seed Djokovic, is where his recent troubles began as he crashed out to Sam Querrey, the only time in the last seven years he has not reached at least the last four.
But Djokovic is pleased with how he is progressing and the changes he is making as he looks to get back to title-winning ways at the Grand Slams.
"I'm already enjoying the process very much. I mean, especially in the last couple of months," he said in his post match press conference.
"Even though maybe results haven't been up to the standard that I have had in the last seven, eight years
"In order to reach a new peak, you have to fold a little bit in some way and I try to have that kind of mindset and approach. Understanding what I'm going through and understanding that I can't always be very successful in playing in the highest possible level.
"Once you're in that kind of flow, I guess, and everything is working perfectly and you are No 1 of the world for many years and winning Grand Slams and that's the standard that you set for yourself, you kind of feel like you're in some kind of machine that keeps rolling and you don't really get the chance to sit down and reflect on what's happening."
David Ferrer is a potential quarter-final opponent for Djokovic, after the Spaniard was handed a place in the third round when Belgium's Steve Darcis became the eighth withdrawal from the men's event.
13th seed and 2014 semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov was another comfortable winner, cruising past Marcos Baghdatis 6-3 6-2 6-1.
