Reigning champion Novak Djokovic had few problems in reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon, dispatching Bernard Tomic 6-3 6-3 6-3 on Centre Court.
Djokovic produced a ruthless display against the 27th seed from Australia, constantly troubling him on serve and improving on his own service games compared to the opening two rounds.
He offered only three chances to break serve in the match but Tomic was unable to take any, leaving Djokovic to secure a third straight sets victory of the week - none of his sets so far have even gone to a tie-break.
Djokovic broke Tomic on four occasions and was not made to pay for a number of wasted chances midway through the third set when his opponent twice fought back from 0-40 down on serve.
Tomic won five straight points to avoid a break the first time around and three points to get back to deuce in the second, but Djokovic took his next break point chance and made sure of victory a couple of games later.
His next test will come against big-serving South African Kevin Anderson, the 14th seed having earlier come through his clash with 24th seed Leonardo Mayer 6-4 7-6 6-3.
Djokovic could not have been more pleased with his performance as he reached the second week of Wimbledon for the seventh year running.
"Great so far," he said. "I was hoping I could play better and better as the tournament progresses and that is what's happening right now. As we are moving on, I feel more confident on court.
"Maybe it looks like I haven't been tested but I have. I played a couple of very good players, especially today against Bernard.
"It's not easy to win against him in straight sets. When you are on the court you have to earn it.
"I am pleased with the way I am playing. It is very close to where I want to be.
"Hopefully, in the second week I can play even better. It will get harder. Kevin Anderson is a very good grasscourt player, the opponents will get tougher, better quality, higher ranked so I have to be on top of my game."
