Teenager Andrey Rublev recorded his first victory against a Top 10 opponent when he shocked seventh seed Grigor Dimitrov at the US Open on Thursday.
The 19-year-old reached the third round with a stunning 7-5 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 win over recent Cincinnati Masters winner Dimitrov.
Rublev, the world No 53, joins a fellow teenager, 18-year-old Denis Shapovalov, in the last 32 at a Grand Slam event for the first time since 2008.
"It's an amazing feeling. I'm very happy to win this match," said Shapovalov, who will now face Bosnia's Damir Dzumhur for a place in the last 16.
"I was thinking before the match - I have to play my rhythm, my speed, because I know with my speed I can compete with any of the top players and I did it."
Dimitrov was a break up in both the first two sets but Rublev hit back, saving eight of 10 break points before taking his first match point with a brilliant forehand winner.
In another shock, Unseeded Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov dispatched 15th-ranked Czech Tomas Berdych 3-6 6-1 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 to make it through.
Former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro rolled on with a comfortable 6-2 6-3 7-6 (7-3) win over Spain's Adrian Menendez-Maceiras.
Del Potro, seeded 24th, claimed his only Grand Slam title at Flushing Meadows in 2009.
In the day's other matches, sixth seed Dominic Thiem smashed 40 winners on his way to a 6-4 6-4 4-6 7-5 victory over American Taylor Fritz.
Ninth-seed David Goffin edged Guido Pella 3-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (2-7) 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 after four hours and 19 minutes to set up a meeting with last year's semi-finalist Gael Monfils, who downed Donald Young 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 2-6 7-5.
