Vera Dushevina claimed the WTA Istanbul tournament on Sunday with a 6-0 6-1 victory over Lucie Hradecka. The fifth-seeded Russian, 22, took just 41 minutes to win the match at the end of a tournament in which she did not drop a single set. Her eighth-seeded Czech opponent had played two matches the previous day and failed to find her rhythm in the final, with a string of double faults. Hradecka won just one game in the contest when she levelled the second set at 1-1, but world 49 Dushevina had no problems as she clinched her first career title.
