Top seed Sara Errani had no problems getting past Patricia Mayr-Achleitner in the second round of the WTA Italiacom Open in Palermo. The Italian needed 66 minutes and didn't face a single break point on her own serve as she triumphed 6-3 6-2 against her Austrian opponent. There was a shock result in other action, seventh seed Alize Cornet falling 6-3 5-7 6-2 at the hands of Alexandra Cadantu of Romania. Qualifier Estrella Cabeza Candela of Spain continued her impressive run with a 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 result against home favourite Maria Elena Camerin, who paid the price for only converting three out of 10 break-point chances created. Wednesday's other match saw Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu battle back from a set down to knock out Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain 3-6 6-1 6-4.
