Katowice Open: Camila Giorgi ousts second seed Roberta Vinci

Second seed Roberta Vinci is out of the Katowice Open after a third-set collapse against Camila Giorgi.
Their second-round contest had been hard-fought until Giorgi played Vinci off the court in the third set to claim a 6-3 6-7 (9-7) 6-0 victory.
Eighth seed Tsvetana Pironkova was also beaten, losing 6-2 6-1 to Shahar Peer.
There were victories for No 3-ranked Carla Suarez Navarro, a 2-6 6-4 6-4 winner over Alexandra Cadantu, and fifth seed Klara Koukalova, who beat Annika Beck 4-6 6-3 6-1.
In first-round action, No 7 seed Magdalena Rybarikova beat qualifier Claire Feuerstein 6-2 7-5 and Mirjana Lucic-Baroni beat Jovana Jasic 6-3 6-4.
