Tomas Berdych consolidated seventh place in the Race to London with victory in the Stockholm Open.

The top seed battled to a 5-7 6-4 6-4 victory over Grigor Dimitrov in a rollercoaster of a final.

Berdych remains in seventh place in the ATP rankings ahead of Britain's Andy Murray, who had earlier won the final of the Erste Open in Vienna. The top eight qualify for the season-ending showpiece.

Bulgarian Dimitrov, the defending champion, rallied from 5-4 down to claim the first set, but Berdych recovered to level the contest before going on to close out victory in two hours and 20 minutes, claming his 10th ATP tour title.

While the Czech now looks well placed to qualify for the Tour Finals for the fifth consecutive year, Dimitrov faces a battle to reach London, placed in 11th with the rankings tightly packed between the players above him going into the final two regular-season events.
