Shinsuke Nakamura beat TJ Perkins on Wednesday night in his first televised match since losing the NXT Championship to Bobby Roode at TakeOver: San Antonio in January.

The Japanese star saw off Perkins with a Kinshasa, despite having the knee he injured while shipping the belt to Roode in Texas two months ago targeted by the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

Nakamura then learned he would face the winner of Roode and Kassius Ohno's NXT Title match next week at TakeOver: Orlando on April 1.
