Sami Zayn wins on Smackdown; Chris Jericho explains AJ Styles attack

Sami Zayn made a huge impact in his first match on WWE's main roster by pinning The Miz during a tag-team match on Smackdown.

Zayn partnered Neville in a clash against The Miz and reigning Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, with the Canadian securing victory by covering The Awesome One following a Helluva Kick.

Owens had already scarpered by that point, wanting nothing to do with Zayn after his long-time rival voiced his intention to take his countryman's title at WrestleMania on April 3.

Chris Jericho, meanwhile, revealed he attacked AJ Styles on Raw because the WWE Universe had chosen The Phenomenal One over him - before proceeding to ignite a 'Y2AJ' T-Shirt and insisting that Styles' WWE career would also go up in flames.

Elsewhere, Lana attacked Brie Bella after her singles victory over Summer Rae, while there were tag-team triumphs for Sheamus and King Barrett as well as Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and The Usos.

League of Nations stars Sheamus and Barrett knocked off The Lucha Dragons, while Ambrose, Ziggler and The Usos downed the entire Wyatt Family after Ambrose hit Erick Rowan with Dirty Deeds.
