As John Cena and AJ Styles prepare to go on-on-one at SummerSlam, check out how their rivalry has become so intense.

Brock Lesnar's blockbuster brawl with Randy Orton has hogged much of the SummerSlam spotlight - but another dream match will also be contested on the show's card.

John Cena will go one-on-one with AJ Styles, live on Sky Sports Box Office on August 21, in a bout many thought would never happen.

Cena and Styles have been in the grappling game for over 16 years but it was only when Styles joined WWE in early 2016 that they were employed by the same company.

The respect when they first came face-to-face was palpable - and the WWE fans felt it, too, chanting vigorously for both competitors.

Yet, Styles shattered the mood when he attacked Cena and the two have been warring ever since.

Styles beat Cena in a singles match at Money in the Bank before the 15-time world champion rebounded at Battleground, teaming with Enzo Amore and Big Cass to knock off Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
