American Alpha star missed chance to become Tag Team Champion

Jason Jordan's hopes of winning the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at WWE Backlash may have been dashed - but the former NXT star responded by beating Aiden English on Main Event.
Jordan and his American Alpha partner, Chad Gable, qualified for last Sunday's tournament final with a quick-fire victory over the The Usos on the September 6 edition of Smackdown.
However, Jimmy and Jey Uso attacked the duo after the match, injuring Gable's knee so severely that he was ruled out of competing at the Backlash pay-per-view.
Jordan had to watch on at the weekend as Heath Slater and Rhyno knocked off The Usos to become Smackdown's inaugural Tag team Champions inside Richmond Coliseum.
The 27-year-old rebounded in style on Thursday night, though, downing Vaudevillains Superstar English while Gable, still moving a rather gingerly, stood ringside.
Kane also triumphed on Main Event, the Big Red Monster backing up his Randy Orton-assisted win over Bray Wyatt at Backlash by beating Fandango.
