TJ Perkins earned a morale-boosting win over Rich Swann on WWE 205 Live, five nights before he tries to seize the Baltimore fighter's Cruiserweight Title at Roadblock: End of the Line.

Perkins, the inaugural Cruiserweight Champion after triumphing in this summer's Cruiserweight Classic, bested Swann via submission ahead of Sunday's Triple Threat encounter.

The Brian Kendrick, the third man in this weekend's title tussle, attempted to congratulate Perkins following his victory but was quickly cracked with a superkick by the Fil-Am Flash.

Kendrick beat Perkins to scoop the Cruiserweight crown at Hell in a Cell in late October, before losing the title to Swann on the debut edition of 205 Live on November 29.

Elsewhere on Tuesday night, England's Jack Gallagher knocked off Drew Gulak, the Mancunian - who currently leads 2-1 in his rivalry with Ariya Daivari - triumphing with a running dropkick.
