AJ Styles will defend the WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin on the final Smackdown of 2016.
Styles retained his belt on Tuesday night with a quick-fire win over James Ellsworth - the champion continuing the assault after the match leading to Ellsworth being stretchered out of the arena.
The Phenomenal One will put his gold on the line again on December 27, though, with his scheduled singles defence against Ziggler becoming a Triple Threat following his meddling in this week's main event.
Ziggler and Corbin's bout, in which Corbin would have pinched Ziggler's spot as No 1 contender had he won, ended in a double count-out, Corbin throwing Ziggler into Styles amid the chaos.
Styles, acting as guest commentator, then whacked both men with a chair, prompting Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan to announce he would face Ziggler and Corbin next week in a title match.
Elsewhere, The Miz retained the Intercontinental Title by pinning Apollo Crews, before receiving a slap from Renee Young for making a crass comment about her relationship with Dean Ambrose.
The Miz later planted Ambrose with a Skull-Crushing Finale after The Wyatt Family had jumped The Lunatic Fringe following his win over Luke Harper.
Becky Lynch, meanwhile, submitted Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss while competing in disguise as La Luchadora - Lynch will now challenge Bliss for the belt next week.
Plus, Natalya admitted to beating up Nikki Bella at Survivor Series before proceeding to heavily criticise her fellow Total Divas star, while Mojo Rawley downed Curt Hawkins.
You can watch a repeat showing of WWE Smackdown at 10pm on Thursday on Sky Sports 5.
