Cenation Leader to challenge for WWE Title at Royal Rumble

John Cena is back on Smackdown - and is hell-bent on winning a record-equalling 16th world title at January's Royal Rumble.
The Cenation Leader revealed on the final blue-brand show of 2016 that he would challenge the reigning WWE Champion on January 29 as he bids to match Ric Flair's tally of title reigns.
Cena, who had been off WWE television since failing to scoop the WWE Title from AJ Styles at Smackdown's No Mercy pay-per-view in October, soon found out the identity of his opponent…
AJ Styles!
The man from Massachusetts will renew his rivalry with The Phenomenal One after Styles came through a thrilling triple threat match against Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler on Smackdown.
Cena and Styles battled many times during the summer of 2016, with Styles conquering Cena in pay-per-view singles matches at Money in the Bank (June) and SummerSlam (August).
However, Cena is determined to dethrone Styles in San Antonio next month and claim the 16th world crown of his career - 11 years after he beat JBL at WrestleMania 21 to garner his first.
Watch Cena's promo - and his handshake with Styles in the video at the top of the screen. You can catch a full repeat showing of WWE Smackdown at 10pm on Thursday on Sky Sports 5.
