Paul Heyman has dared Goldberg to step into a WWE ring for the first time since 2004 and face his client, Brock Lesnar, in a WrestleMania XX rematch.

Goldberg could agree to face Brock Lesnar when he returns to WWE Raw for the first time in 12 years on Monday night.

Goldberg revealed that if he wrestled for WWE again a bout with Lesnar - the man he beat on his last WWE appearance at WrestleMania XX in 2004 - would be 'the match'.

Goldberg swiftly took to Twitter to announce he would respond to Heyman on next week in Denver, writing: "Booking my flight to answer that big mouth @HeymanHustle 's challenge next week in person on #MondayNightRaw#WhosNext#seeyathere @WWE"

With Goldberg returning to WWE Raw next week, we look back at five of his most high-profile matches

The Oklahoma-born star signed for All Japan Pro Wrestling in 2002, before inking a deal with WWE a year later and defeating The Rock in his debut match at Backlash.

Goldberg went on to feud with Chris Jericho and then won the World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H at the Unforgiven pay-per-view in September 2003.

He lost the title back to Triple H at Armageddon in December and his rivalry with Lesnar intensified when The Beast Incarnate attacked him during the 2004 Royal Rumble Match.

Goldberg defeated Lesnar at WestleMania XX at Madison Square Garden in New York in March 2004 after administering a spear and a jackhammer powerslam.

Since leaving WWE, Goldberg has commentated on mixed martial arts and guest stared in a number of films and television shows, including The Longest Yard and Family Guy.
