In depth

Verdict

Culcabock knows how to win around here but his advancing years appear to have caught up with him lately. The lightly-raced Premier Grand Cru found only one too good at Kelso last time while Raya Star has to be of interest now tackling handicaps, though ran a shocker at Hereford last time. Dune Shine should go well off a low weight and Khachaturian returns to hurdles on an attractive mark. But we'll take a chance that the fast ground will encourage MASKA PONY to put his best foot forward. George Moore's charge has had his excuses since winning at Sedgefield and Wetherby last autumn and looks nicely treated now.
