Dandy Nicholls won this 12 months ago with Redford and saddles Nasri, who beat Atlantic Sport over 6f at Hamilton last month, under a penalty this year. Hawkeyethenoo landed a valuable handicap over C&D in the spring and Smarty Socks landed a similar contest here four weeks ago and is very consistent, but David O'Meara's charge may struggle to confirm that form with fourth PASTORAL PLAYER on 7lb worse terms. Hughie Morrison's gelding has been running really well in these big handicaps and was noted staying on strongly into fifth behind the principals in last month's Ayr Gold Cup after meeting trouble in running. A couple of pounds lower now, he makes plenty of appeal today. Eton Forever ran another solid race when second to Man Of Action at Doncaster but the drop in distance may not be in his favour so the pick of the remainder could be Decent Fella, who hasn't run a bad race all season and is only 3lb higher than when holding on well at Goodwood last time.
