Akeed Champion failed to land a hat-trick when well beaten at Doncaster but drops in class while Shady Mccoy has been upped 8lb as he bids for his fifth win of the year in six starts. Big Whiskey beat Trucanini a length at Kempton last month and can figure again raised 4lb but Si Senor and Realize have so far proved best on the all-weather with the latter rated 7lb lower on this surface. Davids Park went close at Chepstow last time while both of George Margarson's runners have a shout off their current marks. Elusive Guest has gone close on a couple of occasions this year but EXCELLENT GUEST has won three times at the track including on this card last year and twice over course and distance. He may just edge this having placed in a higher grade at Yarmouth last time.
