Verdict

BROXBOURNE is proving a real money-spinner for Mark Johnston and, after beating Homeric by three-and-a-half lengths over course and distance last month with Highland Castle back in third, followed up over a marathon trip in a valuable handicap at Goodwood where Brockwell was a staying-on fifth. She's gone up a further 5lb since but is an improving filly who may well be good enough to complete the hat-trick under New Zealand's top female jockey Lisa Allpress. The ground may not be fast enough for Ffos Las winner Mutual Regard and stamina could be an issue for Rawaki and neither Oriental Fox nor Good Morning Star are expected to better their more consistent stablemate.
