      Verdict

      POET'S REWARD may get overtaken by a couple of these at a later stage but his confirmed race fitness following two narrow defeats at Newcastle can see him in the winner's enclosure stepping up in trip. Dalton has changed stables after a disappointing run at Ripon in June following a promising start. He's the type to do better this season as is Hee Haw, who didn't look at his best when dropped to the minimum at Musselburgh after much better efforts over this trip. England Expects didn't get the best of runs at Pontefract or would have been closer so she's one to keep an eye on in the market.
