      Verdict

      Pat Shanahan's raider IONIZATION (NAP) was having his first start since landing a Chester handicap when well beaten at Musselburgh last month but that should have put him spot-on for this and he can make the long journey pay. Glengarry was a beaten favourite twice after his Musselburgh handicap victory and is 9lb higher while Chaplin Bay never got going at Doncaster after returning with a victory at Newcastle. Character Onesie has been beaten seven times since his last victory though is still 4lb higher but Tommy G was noted making late headway over 6f at Redcar. Royal Duchess is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and would have a chance at the weights if ready after a long break.
