Verdict

A competitive bumper to finish off the card in which we like the look of recent Kelso winner GILBARRY ahead of Rollwiththepunches and Witherspoon. The selection won nicely on his debut at Kelso acting well on the fast surface that day. He knew his job and showed no real sign of greenness and coming from a yard that do so well in these types of races he is difficult to oppose. Rollwiththepunches finished third to the selection last time out and with no penalty to carry he has to be given a chance to go close. He was sent off favourite that day and may well have come up against a horses that could end up being quite special. Witherspoon finished second in a point to point before winning at Ayr for his new connections. He did the job well that day and although he may be up against it here he is still a horse to follow in the future. So for the winner we return to Gilbarry.
