    Verdict

Three Mirrors has two things in his favour; a step back up in trip and a return to a left-handed track, and therefore he is taken to get his head back in front at the main expense of Bambi De L'Orme and Saintsaire. Likely to start a big price, Ferdy Murphy's gelding has been steadily improving this year and was found out by a drop in trip last time out at Carlisle. He continualy jumped out to his left that day so this track should suit better and he could be good value to upset the applecart somewhat. Saintsaire was favourite for the Grand Annual at Cheltenham but was well held back in sixth. This will be the fastest ground that he has encountered and whilst it shouldn't prove a problem, there are still some niggling doubts there. Bambi De L'Orme has a 6lb penalty for his gutsy win at Aintree which shouldn't prove a problem, however the step up in trip may not be ideal so for that reason he is opposed. Locksmith ran a great race to finish third in that Aintree contest and has place claims once more, whilst Dumadic is fairly consistent but may just be outclassed today. Supreme Prince is a course and distance winner so warrants plenty of respect, however we will return to Three Mirrors as the selection
