    Verdict

Kinkeel gets the vote in the opener with Discomania, First Fought and Moonflight the others for the shortlist. The selection ran well when finishing second behind Travello at Plumpton last time after being spooked on the way to the start. He travelled well for much of the way in that race and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity here to get his head in front with ground conditions to suit. Discomania looks the obvious danger as he ran a blinder last time when chasing home Parisian Playboy at Fakenham. A reproduction of that effort would make him competitive but he has yet to win a race after 33 starts and he is not one to place maximum faith in. Moonflight unseated her rider last time at Plumpton on her chasing debut but she has got a couple of wins next to her name on the flat and over hurdles and she will handle the ground so she is not one to dismiss lightly. Post It is making her chasing debut but she has plenty to prove at present. First Fought recorded his only career win on this track and although he should be competitive in this grade his strike-rate means he could be one to take on. We are therefore happy to stick with Kinkeel as our idea of the winner.
