In depth

Verdict

High Life gets the confident vote here with Sabre Hongrois and Kempley Green the others to consider. This mare from the Alan King yard is lightly-raced and she won well when getting the better of In The Lead at Newton Abbot. She is progressive, loves this ground and she should prove tough to beat. Sabre Hongrois was a good second behind French Opera at Taunton and this lightly-raced 4-year-old from the David Pipe yard should give our selection the most to think about. Kempley Green was returning from a break last time at Towcester when he finished fourth behind Inherent but this step-up in trip is a worry as he did struggle to get home over 2m last time. It will be a surprise if any of the others are good enough and for the winner we will stick with High Life.
