Verdict

Barbarous Relic has the best form of those to have seen a racecourse with a debut fourth at Catterick as he wasn't the fastest from the gate and was only beaten a length-and-a-half. His experience will prove valuable but this rates a tougher contest with interesting newcomers representing four leading northern stables. The market should help to sort them out but STYLISH BOY should be ready to go as a son of Paco Boy. Mark Johnston's Cape Cross colt, Cape Speed, also looks interesting along with Kraftwork and Bing Bang Bong for the Dods and Barron yards respectively in what rates a potentially informative maiden.
