In depth

Verdict

The Hannon team launch a rare raid on Redcar spearheaded by Dick Turpin colt, Receding Waves, a satisfactory third on his Bath debut after showing good early dash. He's sure to go well with the run under his belt. Blue Humor led until the closing stages when runner-up at Newcastle last time and rates a major contender on that performance but Silver Sands and DONJUAN TRIUMPHANT look a pair of interesting newcomers, especially the latter who is from the first crop of July Cup winner Dream Ahead - he gets a tentative vote.
