    Verdict

Course and distance winner Alfonso gets the vote to win ahead of Trafalgar Bay and Grey Outlook. Peter Monteith's gelding won over course and distance back in May and had the re-opposing Danzatrice back in second that day. However they race off the same terms today and Alfonso can confirm those placings. He was disappointing last time out at Musselburgh but now returned to this trip he can be given another chance on ground that suits. Trafalgar Bay drops slightly in trip but he stays very well and having won over two miles, this drop in trip may not be ideal especially as he likes to be held up. Grey Outlook has only won once in 20 starts but he will appreciate any rain that falls and so cannot be ruled out, whilst at a price Kyber cannot be written off from this lowly mark of 50. Alfonso has the form over course and distance however and we will return to him as the selection.
