Verdict

Joseph O'Brien complicates matters by saddling two in this opener. LORD JUSTICE was ridden by today's conditional when making a reasonable debut over timber at Listowel last weekend where he looked as though the experience would do him good and he can get the better of stablemate Zig Zag. Jody McGarvey has been on board for the latter’s two runs and the combination should get competitive again and he easily holds Ravens Hill on their run on the Flat at Gowran in June. Scealtana wasn't fancied on his debut at Listowel but was badly impeded and never got into the race. But he was well beaten behind Masonbrook Lady on the level during the summer and, with her yard in good form, the latter could provide the main threat. Champagne Pat made a reasonable start at Down Royal and should improve enough to make his presence felt.
