      Verdict

Be Ashored runs off top weight today and after not really showing too much in his six runs to date is avoided, whilst Diamanpeg has jumped reasonably although positions have been poor in his most recent efforts last year, whilst Optimum has a sole win to his name over hurdles but with a severe lack of form throughout the field we side with FORM AND BEAUTY who ended last year with some promise. If the selection returns with a bang on his return to action then he can claim the top prize. He ended the year with a decent enough second in a chase and with little to side with from those who have already had run outs this year we side with the mount of Richard Johnson. Ruby Valentine is a previous course and distance winner and is respected on that effort last year but she pulled up at Worcester last time and it may be better to watch her today. Lady Of Ashcott will be looking to improve with the assistance of first-time blinkers and Diamanpeg runs in first-time visor and tongue strap. In a relatively weak but potentially difficult to call finish to the card we go with Form And Beauty.
