Verdict

MAGIC JACK holds Danehill Sunset on his debut second and it'll be disappointing if he can't get the better of 76-rated Youm Jamil. Richard Hannon's charge was tenderly ridden to take second behind a Godolphin hot-pot at Salisbury and he'd have won in another stride or two so, as that was over seven, this step up to a mile is expected to suit. While this is a maiden that's attracted runners from five top yards it doesn't look strong, so any improvement will see Magic Jack very hard to beat. Youm Jamil has done nothing wrong in maiden's over this trip but on the evidence of his Newmarket handicap run he's not quite up to his BHA rating and he's exposed so we shouldn't expect improvement. Priors Gold is steadily going the right way but perhaps he'll do better returned to further while Politbureau should show more but he was sent off at 25/1 on debut, suggesting he's no star.
