In depth

Verdict

The three to look out for in this competitive handicap are Suhezy, Jaassey and Distinctly Jim with the vote going to the last named. The selection was eye catching when finishing third beaten three lengths at Carlisle last time out. A reproduction of that form will see him go well once more. Suhezy is nicely weighted and has some sound form figures to her name. Most recently when second over a stiff seven furlongs on her penultimate so this shorter trip might suit better. Jaassey has been a model of consistency without ever looking like winning. He is now as a result looking a bit frustrating so is to be treated with caution. So for the winner we return to Distinctly Jim.
