In depth

Verdict

Sea Admiral finally got it right last time but dare we ignore the Prescott/Sanders team who combine here with Casual Garcia? In a race that could develop into a tactical affair we'll put our trust in the Master of Heath House. Casual Garcia is no star and was rated just 39 when winning a Lingfield seller as he liked on his latest start. The handicapper was certainly impressed as he's raised him by a remarkable 19lbs for that win and this one can't really be said to fit the profile of a typical Prescott improver. Connections decided to retain the gelding in the subsequent auction which looks significant and the yard has a remarkable strike rate with their three year olds here. He had plenty of use made of him that day as did Sea Admiral when he finally got it right over course and distance last time when sporting first time blinkers. That was a better race, a 7lb rise is fair and it will be fascinating to see whether their respective jockeys take each other on for the lead. If they do, it could set the race up nicely for a hold up horse and Loveofmylife may be one that could benefit if she can build on her third in a similar affair at Chepstow. Vincenzio is the other of interest as he looks sure to appreciate this longer trip but he could be meeting better handicapped horses here. An intriguing heat which we'll be hoping will go the way of Casual Garcia.
