      Verdict

Monsieur Valentine won here earlier this month though that was a poor event and he's gone up 6lb. Sarmadee won here a couple of weeks ago and made a bold bid for a double at Lingfield but just failed and with his rider's claim to help again has to be a threat. JAN STEEN looked as though a victory was imminent when staying on nicely at Newbury last month and can take this from the same mark though Polymnia should go well. She's yet to win but went very close at Chepstow on her penultimate start and wasn't beaten far at Salisbury recently. Art Echo won here on soft ground in October but was beaten in a Yarmouth seller last time.
