Verdict

Our Gabrial's three runs have come over 5f, 6f and 7f but he looked most at home over the minimum trip at Chester last time when supported into favouritism on the back of two unplaced efforts. A strong-finishing runner-up, he'll be better suited by this stiffer, more conventional track and is expected to go close. Nevertheless, narrow preference is for BROADCASTER, who looked all over the winner over 6f at Ayr last time before being outbattled by Ticking Katie. The drop down to a stiff 5f looks ideal and he gets the vote to go one better. Centre Haafhd ran a good third in the opening nursery of the season when beaten under a length by Woodland Girl, whilst course and distance winner Robynelle completes the short-list despite appearing more exposed than most.
