Verdict

Donald McCain bids for a hat-trick of wins in the race and ALWAYS ON THE RUN looks to have strong claims. The latter found one too good at Worcester last time having scored at the same track earlier but was well clear of the rest and is just preferred to Classic Palace, who opened her account over timber with a win at Hexham last month. Maiden hurdle winner Western Home scored over track and trip in May and she looks best of the remainder with Richard Johnson's presence taking the eye.
