In depth

Verdict

Several of these have shown promise but the market may be the best indicator to the chances of the newcomers. Brae On ran well for a long way at Carlisle last month while Jessica Valentine caught the eye on her first start at Uttoxeter in March and should improve. MAISON DE VILLE started favourite on her debut at Perth but couldn't get past Our Joey and then ran well enough in a better race at Aintree in October. She looks the best of those with experience and can take this with Kastela Sari possibly the best of the newcomers as she has more genuine pace in her pedigree than most.
