Four previous course and distance winners in this line-up and it may pay to side with Brian Baugh's filly ELLIES IMAGE ahead of the last time winners Mission Impossible and Nuit Sombre. The selection's only win came at this course in a maiden and although not delivering quite as much in handicaps so far the conditions and trip will suit and we tentatively side with her today. Mission Impossible has claims after winning at Nottingham last year but he will need to have improved in terms of stamina to challenge over this trip. Nuit Sombre, the veteran in the contest, was decent enough to win over this sort of trip at Redcar latest when beating Bold Marc but this may be a more difficult proposition. San Silvestro runs off top weight here and on previous tries would prefer at least a furlong further to show his best. We cautiously opt for Ellies Image to score here.
