A triumph of underachievement abounds and SERGEANT PINK can give us a run for our money but Dispol Diva and Addison de Witt are noted in despatches. Steve Gollings' charge was supported at long odds at Haydock before placing in a race staged on particularly testing ground. There has to be a questionmark about him if the ground firms up but his stable's horses are running creditably without necessarily winning. Dispol Diva is consistent enough at this level. She will be suited by what is likely to be a strongly run race. Micky Hammond has had his best season for some time and Addison de Witt has to be respected despite sneaking into the bottom of the handicap. The application of a visor and the booking of Franny Norton seem to be major positives on balance. Everaard has racked up the miles during June and could have come on for a brief respite from the track. Berriedale ran her best race to date at Pontefract and will be galloping on when others have cried enough. Full Blue is noted in the market on handicap introduction after three non-descript efforts in maiden company. Omokoroa will do well to give weight all around at these terms. Veroon steps into the unknown over this trip and connections will be keen to avoid any overnight rain. A typical Catterick handicap with plenty of positives and negatives so we will take something of a flyer with Sergeant Pink.
