      Verdict

      BERINGER won with plenty to spare under today’s apprentice at Salisbury when beating Coastal Drive, who is due to run in the previous race. He can defy a penalty on that evidence. But Aussie Wind will find this more difficult on much worse terms with the re-opposing Ibn Al Emarat having beaten the latter less than a length at Newcastle recently. Mail Order may improve enough to get involved and makes more appeal than Molly Mayhem and the newcomer Ashington.
