Verdict

Wild West Wind fell on his hurdling debut here and then found little off the bridle when only third at Catterick. This looks no easier as Semper Invicta is sure to have learned plenty from his fifth at Ascot and there should be more to come from Master Ally and Grandasowt. MINELLA DADDY steps up to 3m for the first time under Rules and should be suited having been placed twice in point-to-points. He's already shown promise here and at Warwick and gets the nod today. Ambion Lane was third in a Wincanton bumper on Boxing Day and could also figure if taking to hurdles.
