Manyriverstocross is selected ahead of Ordination and Special Reserve. Alan King's charge has ran creditably in maidens without quite being good enough but this looks a weak affair on paper and compensation awaits for yet another near miss. Ordination was easy to back on debut. It is of slight concern that there has been a gap since that last start but the stable's runners do tend to improve for an outing. Special Reserve showed little at Epsom but had been knocking on the door for some time prior to that moderate run. Syvilla is eligible for handicaps so is of interest as Rae Guest elects to stay in maiden company. Useful timber performer Yes Sir makes a belated flat debut at the age of nine. Special Branch Ami took part in a hot maiden at Kempton last year and could be anything. Mick Channon is sending out winners at present so Manalito is worth more than just a cursory glance in the market. Manyriverstocross has had his chances but Alan King's charge looks difficult to oppose against this degree of opposition.
