    Verdict

Garland is our idea of the winner with Kashmina and Betonart as the dangers. This is a race that will make life difficult for punters but Garland has to be respected on the evidence of a recent third at Bath. She clearly gets this trip well enough and as a filly open to improvement, she has more positives than most. Kashmina is honest though exposed. The handicapper has been a little slow to release the noose. Betonart is a fascinating runner as the handicapper has been forced to offer a rating despite the saddle slipping on the third outing. The market is inspected to see if the sums have been correctly done. Milanollo hails from an in-form yard and will be dropping back in trip having run up to a mile-and-a-half in the past. Carry On Cleo had a bad day at the office and a first time tongue tie is tried. Sarah Park has an interesting jockey booking with William Buick on board for Brian Meehan. She appeared to improve for every run last year so must be respected first time out. Street Diva makes a first turf start having raced exclusively on the all-weather previously. Princess Livius returns to a mile having found ten furlongs too far. Hughie Morrison's team are running well so Mrs Summersby can be anticipated to give a bold show tonight. Many chances held and Garland gets the vote.
