Verdict

Multidimensional has always been a horse of immense potential however a pelvic injury has prevented him from displaying what he has promised. Strongly fancied to make a winning seasonal debut in the Earl of Sefton Stakes, that contest turned out to be slowly run which didn't suit his hold up style of running. That run should leave him spot on for today and is gets the nomination. Maraahel bids to win this race for the fourth year in a row. Newbury's John Porter Stakes has traditionally been used as his pipe opener for this event but he comes here without that outing under his belt. As horses get older, they tend to need a run and that would be a worry. Spice Route has been highly tried by connections but tends to fall short each time. Championship Point benefited from an inspired Darryll Holland ride at Ripon on his penultimate start when given a soft lead which he failed to obtain at Sandown last time. Stotsfold was not disgraced in the Earl of Sefton but was flattered to get so close to our selection that being Multidimensional.
