High Focus is from last year's winning yard and showed a bit more promise on her final outing last season which ended in May. Apache Gold (NAP) loves it around here and the ground conditions have come right for him so he looks certain to get into contention so he's given the nod in a tricky handicap. Dragon Khan made a fine reappearance in heavy ground at Gowran a year ago but only ran once subsequently. The market is best watched to gauge his chances while Northern Surprise's only victory came on soft ground at Sligo. It's almost two years since Jackemil won but she can't go any lower in the weights and has good form in testing ground as does Vasoni, whose four career victories have all been on ground with plenty of give.
