Verdict

Unless there is something decent amongst the newcomers, JOE EILE can take this for Ger Lyons, who has won the race twice in the past five years. The son of Iffraaj made a very encouraging debut at Fairyhouse when just touched off by Cat Fire after leading over a furlong out. He'll be unlucky to come up one as good and should get off the mark. Little Fairy was unfancied for her debut behind Catherineofaragon at Dundalk and got upset in the stalls. She kept on nicely over that 5f trip and will have come on for the experience. Expire will also have benefited from the run after showing up for a long way over 7f at Leopardstown while Tracey Collins' Oratario filly Miss Windley may prove best of the newcomers.
