In depth

Verdict

Johnny Feane has done brilliantly with NOT A BAD OUL DAY (NAP), who has won seven races since April. He beat a strong field in game fashion at Limerick last time despite being unsuited by heavy going and with just 3lb extra to contend with can gain victory number eight for the year. A change of surroundings did the trick foe Cascavelle, who landed a Galway maiden for Robbie McNamara and could be on a fair mark for his handicap debut though any further give in the ground would be a bonus for Keep Believing, a comfortable winner on heavy going at Roscommon. Hasselnott is consistent enough but 9lb higher than his last victory so the main threat may arrive in the shape of Celebration, who has been running in major handicaps since landing a Navan handicap in May.
