A very tricky handicap to fathom but MR EKO gets the nod. Tim Doyle's charge is progressing nicely and landed a handicap at Thurles in battling fashion at the beginning of the year. He didn't get far at Punchestown next time but, provided he's none the worse, can continue his improvement. False Messenger beat a huge field at Naas recently but that was over three miles and he could just find this on the short side with a 7lb rise to contend with. Ghareer hasn't had much experience but did very well to land a tough Leopardstown handicap last month and potential backers shouldn't be too concerned with a 6lb rise. Last Time D'Albain had shown nothing before a very smooth victory at Clonmel and, though he has an extra half-mile to travel, looks a threat to all from a mark just 7lb higher as the handicapper could have been harder on him.
